Create a mesmerizing, soothing jar filled with glitter and colors. Watch as the sparkles slowly drift to the bottom to help you relax and feel calm.

Steps

  1. Fill your plastic bottle partially with purified water. Note: Using less water creates more 'hang time,' making the glitter fall more slowly.
  2. Add your chosen 'toppings' to the water, such as chunky glitter, fine glitter, or small decorative items like orbeez or polymer clay shapes.
  3. If you want a specific color, add 1-2 drops of food coloring now (though some glitters may change the water color naturally).
  4. Fill the rest of the bottle all the way to the top with clear soap or glycerin. This thick liquid is what slows down the glitter.
  5. Apply a generous amount of E6000 glue to the threading of the bottle neck and the inside threading of the lid.
  6. Press the lid on tightly and let the bottle sit undisturbed for 12 to 24 hours to allow the glue to cure completely.
  7. Once cured, shake the bottle vigorously in all directions to ensure all glitter and decorations are fully coated in soap and moving freely.
