Magnetic Paperclip Chain

Materials

• strong magnet (1)
• metal paperclips (5-10)

Safety

Steps

1. Hold the magnet firmly in your hand or secure it to a surface.
2. Take one paperclip and attach it directly to the bottom of the magnet.
3. Slowly and carefully bring a second paperclip to the bottom of the first paperclip until it clicks into place.
4. Continue adding paperclips one by one to the bottom of the chain, moving slowly to ensure each one sticks securely.
5. Once you have reached your desired length, carefully move the magnet away from the top of the chain to see if the paperclips remain stuck together.
