Steps

  1. Pour 1 cup of liquid dish detergent into your large container.
  2. Add 1 heaping tablespoon of guar gum and 1 tablespoon of baking powder to the soap.
  3. Mix the soap, guar gum, and baking powder together until well incorporated.
  4. Slowly stir in 16 cups of water and whisk the mixture to remove any lumps.
  5. Tie one end of the cotton string securely to the top of the first stick.
  6. Thread the metal washer onto the string to add weight to the bottom of the wand.
  7. Loop the string twice around the top of the second stick and tie a knot to secure it.
  8. Lay the sticks and string on a flat surface to ensure they form a triangle shape with the washer at the bottom point.
  9. Tie the two ends of the string together to close the loop, tying the knot around the original knot for extra strength.
  10. Hold the two sticks together and slowly lower the string loop into the bubble solution until it is fully saturated.
  11. Lift the wand out while keeping the handles together, then slowly pull the handles apart to create a giant bubble.
