Materials

• cornstarch (1 cup)

Steps

1. Pour 1 cup of cornstarch into your mixing bowl.
2. Add 2 to 3 drops of your favorite food coloring into 1/2 cup of water and stir until the color is mixed.
3. Slowly pour the colored water into the bowl with the cornstarch.
4. Stir the mixture with a spoon until the cornstarch and water are fully combined.
5. Test the slime with your hands: try to poke it quickly (it should feel hard) and then let your fingers sink in slowly (it should feel like a liquid).
6. Pour the finished oobleck onto a shallow tray or dish to play with it and experiment with its magic properties.
